What Does “World Famous Tattoo Artist” Mean for Me?
People call me a world famous tattoo artist, but I didn’t start out chasing that title. I didn’t get into tattooing to be famous—I got into it because I had no other outlet. No voice. No direction. And somehow, through years of struggle, obsession, and hard-earned skill, this craft gave me everything.
If you’re looking for someone who understands the weight of permanent ink—who takes this work seriously—I’d be honored to connect.

Where It Really Started
You won’t find a romantic backstory here. I wasn’t some art school prodigy. I was locked up when I first picked up a machine. Prison was where tattooing found me—and where I found a reason to stay focused.
Everything I learned in those early days came the hard way. Trial. Error. Persistence. What started with makeshift tools and scraps of knowledge became something bigger than I could’ve imagined. I didn’t want to just survive—I wanted to master something.
Tattooing gave me that path. And I never looked back.
Skin Design Tattoo Was Built With Intention
When I opened Skin Design Tattoo, I didn’t want another trendy Vegas shop with hype and neon lights. I wanted a place where quality was the standard—where artists were hungry to push boundaries and respect the craft.
My shop became my home base. A place people travel across the world to visit. Not for gimmicks—for greatness. For timeless black and grey work. For portraits that hit deep. For full-scale pieces that feel more like murals than ink.
Being a world famous tattoo artist means more to me than recognition. It means responsibility. If you’re gonna wear my work for life, I owe you everything I’ve got.

Why Black and Grey Speaks to Me
I’ve worked in a lot of styles over the years, but black and grey realism became my language. There’s no hiding in this style. No color to mask mistakes. Just you, the machine, and your ability to understand light, shadow, depth, and tone.
When I tattoo a face, I don’t just see features—I see stories. Every wrinkle, every highlight, every shadow carries meaning. That’s the beauty of realism. That’s why people trust a world famous tattoo artist to get it right.
Because in this game, one wrong move can throw the whole illusion off. You either bring your full focus—or you don’t belong here.
These Pieces Aren’t Just Tattoos—They’re People’s Lives
I’ve tattooed memorials for lost sons, portraits of grandmothers who held families together, and cultural icons that hold centuries of meaning. None of those pieces are “just work” to me. They’re personal.
I don’t take that lightly.
When someone sits in my chair, I’m not there to impress them—I’m there to understand them. To build something real. To give them a piece that lasts longer than we will.
That’s part of what makes being a world famous tattoo artist real: honoring the people and stories behind the ink.
What That Title Really Means
Let’s be honest—“world famous tattoo artist” is something people throw around too loosely. These days, you go viral once and suddenly you’re a legend.
That’s not how I measure this work.
Monte Bodysuit by Robert Pho in SDT Las Vegas
You earn this by showing up every day. By building consistency in your work. By making tattoos that look just as strong five years down the line. By turning clients into collectors—and collectors into family.
You earn it by teaching, not gatekeeping. By building studios. By mentoring young artists. By moving the culture forward without diluting it.
Why Time Still Matters
I’ve been doing this for over 30 years. I’ve seen tattooing evolve from a subculture to a global art movement. I’ve worked through old machines, homemade rigs, and now the digital age.
What’s stayed the same? My mindset.
This craft humbles you. Fast. One rushed session, one lazy pass, and your whole piece can fall apart. That’s why I still take every tattoo seriously—whether it’s a full sleeve or a single portrait.

If you’re investing your skin, your time, and your money—don’t you want a world famous tattoo artist who treats your story like it matters?
Tattoos That Outlast the Hype
I’ve never cared about going viral. I care about healed work. I care about detail. I care about how a tattoo reads not just on day one, but ten years from now.
When you look at my portfolio, you’re not seeing filters. You’re seeing skin. You’re seeing emotion. You’re seeing the kind of work that was built to last.
That’s what I stand on—and that’s what every true world famous tattoo artist should stand on too.
Legacy Isn’t Just About Me
These days, I’m watching my daughters step into the craft. Seeing them tattoo, study, and ask questions reminds me why I never let go of this path. It’s not about ego anymore. It’s about legacy.
What I build today isn’t just for me. It’s for every artist I mentor, every client I serve, and every family member honored through my work.
Being a world famous tattoo artist means making your work count—for more than just likes.
